Designed for simple operation and easy maintenance, LACO's dry ice vacuum traps are ideal for vacuum applications requiring the removal of condensable vapors, or where the use of a liquid nitrogen traps is not practical. Offset inlet and outlet ports for ease of installation and a removable well makes for convenient cleaning and refilling.
Pump Protection
Our dry ice traps remove water and solvents and protect oil-sealed vacuum pumps and critical vacuum equipment. Utilizing a dry ice and alcohol slurry, our dry ice traps cool to -75° C, trapping most volatile materials.

Description
- Inner Chamber (Dry Ice Slurry)
- Top is removable for cleanout and filling of inner chamber with dry ice slurry
- Top support lid to be 304 SS. (No acrylic or aluminum lids)
- Inner 304 SS Chamber Reservoir 10.75" OD by 22" height. Inner chamber to hold dry ice slurry at atm
- Inner Chamber to be glass bead blasted. Inner chamber to include a drain port and connection to outer chamber for drainage
- Stainless steel lid cover will be included on inner chamber
- Inner chamber (dry ice slurry) volume = 8 gallons
- The inner chamber does not need to be removed. Piping through the bottom of the slurry chamber goes through the outer chamber at the bottom and a compression fitting allows for the vacuum requirement to be fulfilled
- Outer Chamber (Vacuum)
- Ports on outer chamber to include 2ea 1" NPT vacuum ports with manual valves and 1ea 1/2" NPT vent port with manual valve. Ports at same level
- 1ea 1/4" NPT port with 0-30inHG vacuum gauge
- 1ea 1/2" NPT drain port with manual valve for outer vessel and 1ea 1/2" NPT drain port with manual valve for inner vessel
- Outer chamber (vacuum) volume = 8 gallons
- Outer Chamber to be glass bead blasted. Inner chamber to be removable
- Chamber is helium leak tested to < 10-8 atm-cc/sec and is rated to vacuum levels of 10-3 torr or 29.9 inHg
- The outer chamber has a valve welded in to the bottom, allow for draining without removing the inner chamber
- Outer chamber will also have two each baffles mounted 90 degrees apart running length wise from top to 2" from bottom
